You’ve played your hand
and now my eyes are wide.
Oh Pacific, I wish they weren’t.
Once your thrall,
once your lover,
Now I am betrayed
by your blood lust.
Should I have known by the wars
waged upon your territories?
Should I have known by the countless masses
I’ve pulled from the same depths
that once warmed my soul?
But no, I turned a blind eye
instead, only seeing the beauty you held.
Little did I know
The sirens of old were just you,
singing your song of slumber
and loving grasp
to make those of mine your own.
Miss Murder
I see you.
