Everyone saw it but me.

Everyone held their tongue.

Fascinated by the show we put on.

I can’t tell you from foe,

you play lover so well.

But in the end,

I am just on the ends of the line

dancing as you direct.

I’ve had inklings

of thoughts to find the scissors

and sever the lines,

but you dulled them with your siren song

and enthralled will I remain,

dancing only in your domain.
